Jeannie Chisholm

Jeannie grew up in Vancouver, BC and started skiing as a child in the local mountains and Whistler. She has lived, worked, traveled and studied in such exotic places as Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, China, the United Kingdom, the South Pacific and the Himalayas. Jeannie’s enthusiasm for the mountains compliments her relaxed and professional manner whether she is teaching beginners, intermediates, children or adults. Since 2010, no private ski instructor at Whistler has been requested more than Jeannie. Her success comes from believing that skiing is all about having fun and adventure. This means exploring new places, being in control and not working any harder than you have to!

Simple and Safe

Skiing can be a complex and technical sport if you are new to it. Jeannie works with her guests to make it simple and safe. She focuses on the right skills at the right time then gives the student the opportunity to practice them.

Fun and Informative

There is no one more fun to ski with than Jeannie. While keeping the lessons fun, she teaches the skills and tactics needed to feel comfortable and safe while skiing. Her goal is to make skiing a sport that you really enjoy and have fun doing.

Local Knowledge

Jeannie grew up in Vancouver and started skiing in Whistler as a child. She knows the best terrain for her guests on both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. From groomers, to tree runs, to secret spots, to mystery runs, Jeannie knows where to go.

Professional Guide

Jeannie has trained with the Canadian Ski Instructor's Alliance, Canada West Mountain School, Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, the Alpine Club of Canada, Whistler Guides, Interpretive Guides Association and Yamnuska Mountain School.
